Media Fight Night 2019

Charity Boxing Fundraiser

THE BRIEF

The 5th year running the Media Industry’s hottest night to date – Media Fight Night 2019. Where professionals from across the Media Industry in London take to the ring after months and months training; to fight for charity with thousands as audience rooting them on, bidding for their winning boxer and raising vital funds for charity. With 600k raised so far from previous events, we were determined to raise a further 200k to enable us to reach a goal of 1million for charity by 2020. .

DELIVERY

With Media Fight Night being an event we spawned many years ago we have certain suppliers and contacts already prepared for the requirements, giving us more space to look in to how we can continue to make the event bigger and better every year. This year, we reached out to new suppliers to increase funds by inputting the likes of a branded punching machine with Purple Dot Tubular Fundraising set-up alongside, MFN charity rubber wristbands sold in the raffle for guests to take home an item from the night in memory as well as raising funds and being in with a chance of winning amazing prizes. In addition, we worked with Twitch to LIVE stream the matches and raise funds from those who wished to attend but were unlucky in getting tickets in time.

We are a small events agency, and this event is by far our biggest – we work hard every year in organising the pre-event logistics for the boxers, AV and tech teams prepped, logistics with the amazing Westminster Park Plaza team, managing all 1200 guests requirements, on-site management of all parties, hiring additional crew to fundraise, celebrity guest speakers and performers, Twitch team to live stream the night, commentators, ring people, photographers and videographers, DJ – many parties working together to make the perfect concoction for an unforgettable night.

RESULTS

Our results are evident in the reaching of our 800k target – setting us on sturdy course for reaching the mark of 1 million raised for charity in 2020!

Our guests truly wined, dined and created an electric atmosphere – there’s no wonder we’ve already had enquiries for tickets for 2020! This night has become a must-attend in the Media Industry calendar and we feel proud that the results continue to excel every year – attracting celebrities returning in the likes of Johnny Nelson, Leon McKinsta, Sophia de Stefano and David Haye. The images speak for themselves in the electricity coursing through not only our boxers veins but also the guests on the night as the energy flies and punches thrown and dodged.

The auctions, raffle and bids generate essential funds for our charities of choice, our new charity this year Wickers being an essential recipient. We look year on year for new ways of generating funds and we were proud that this year we reached our target and made £200,000 from the night.

Onwards and upwards in to 2020…
